Quest Health

Quest Diagnostics selling straight to consumers, drawn at their own 2,000+ patient service centers. Dearer than the resellers who buy Quest's own tests wholesale — but it is the one vendor here that serves New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island, the three states that block almost everyone else.

Arizona, Hawaii and Puerto Rico cannot buy — Arizona buyers are sent to Sonora Quest instead. New York, New Jersey and Rhode Island ARE served, which inverts the usual pattern: those three states block the resellers who sell Quest's own tests. From their FAQ on 2026-07-30.

This site is built to earn affiliate commission, but no vendor link or promo code here currently pays one — every link goes plainly to the vendor's site, and this notice will change when that changes. Commissions never affect the prices shown or the order of results — every table sorts on price, and vendors cannot pay for placement.

Ordering from Quest Health

Who it suits

Someone in New York, New Jersey or Rhode Island, most of all. Those three states require lab work to be ordered by your own physician rather than a third party, which is why nearly every reseller on this site refuses them — and Quest, selling its own tests at its own draw sites, does not. Everywhere else you are paying a premium for the same laboratory the cheaper resellers are quietly using, and the thing you buy with it is that the seller and the lab are one company.

How ordering works

Buy online, then go and be drawn at a Quest patient service center. The order has a clock on it: "After registration you have 60 days to schedule and visit a Quest Diagnostics Patient Service Center to get your sample collected." The physician order is contracted out rather than done in-house — Quest's own cancellation terms describe part of what it keeps as "the fee charged by PWN", the independent provider network behind the requisition.

What to watch for

Backing out is not free and not always possible. "You have 60 days to cancel your purchase prior to sample collection at one of the Quest Diagnostics Patient Service Centers. There is a nonrefundable cancellation fee of $20, which includes the fee charged by PWN and Quest Diagnostics administrative fees", and "In some states, applicable taxes are nonrefundable as well." Simply not turning up is treated the same way: "If you do not fulfill your order within these time limits you will be refunded your purchase minus the nonrefundable fee." Money comes back slowly — "Your refund will be processed within 7-14 business days." Arizona and Hawaii cannot buy at all, with Arizona buyers sent to Sonora Quest instead; read from Quest's FAQ on 2026-07-30.

How Quest Health compares

Quest Health sells into 3 of the comparison sets tracked here, against 10 other vendors. Each set below lists the ones nearest on price to Quest Health’s cheapest entry in it — at most four, one panel each — low to high. Same set means the same question, not the same test: two men’s health panels can cover very different markers, so read the counts beside the prices. Every link below goes to another profile on this site; none of them is a tracked link.
