Compare Lab Tests

Privacy

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and asks you for nothing. That is unusual enough to be worth spelling out rather than asserting.

What this site collects

Nothing. There is no analytics script on any page, no tag manager, no pixel, and no cookie set by Compare Lab Tests. Nothing is written to your browser's local storage. There is no account, no newsletter signup and no form anywhere on the site, so there is no field in which you could give us a name or an email address even if you wanted to.

You can verify this. Open your browser's developer tools, look at the Application tab for cookies and storage, and at the Network tab for what actually loads. The list below is the whole of it.

What your browser contacts when you load a page

A static site still makes requests. The typefaces are served from this domain, so most pages contact nobody else at all. Two exceptions:

Links to the published price spreadsheet go to docs.google.com, but only if you click one.

What happens when you click through to a vendor

Some links on this site are affiliate links, which is stated on every page that carries one. When you follow one, the vendor or their affiliate network usually sets a cookie on their own site to record that you arrived from here — that is how a commission gets attributed. That cookie is theirs, set on their domain, under their privacy policy, and we cannot read it. What we get back is an anonymous count of clicks and sales from the network. It is never tied to a person, because the network never tells us who you are and we would have nowhere to put it.

The same applies to promo codes: if you use one at checkout, the vendor knows the code came from us. They do not tell us who used it.

Children

This site is not directed at children and collects nothing from anyone, including them.

Your rights

Rights under the GDPR, the CCPA and similar laws are rights over data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request, correct, export or delete. If you believe otherwise, write and say so — the address is on the contact page.

Changes

If this site ever adds analytics, a mailing list or anything else that collects data, this page changes first and says what and why. It is not a page that will quietly grow a paragraph.
