Someone testing discreetly for one thing, most often sexual health — that is the catalogue myLAB Box is built around, and the wellness panels read as an extension of it rather than the point. The free physician consultation it advertises is real but narrow, and the wellness kits do not get it; see below. Small panels and a low sticker price make this a poor way to buy a broad picture and a reasonable way to buy one answer.

How ordering works

"All of our home tests ship free in discreet packaging", with a "Pre-paid return envelope to send your samples in for testing", and their product pages put collection at about five minutes. myLAB Box's FAQ times the whole cycle at 5–11 days from order to results — "1–3 days for customers to receive the kit and 2–8 days for processing and posting of the results online" — while the product pages advertise the shorter figure, "within 2-5 days after you mail your sample". Samples go to laboratory affiliates the FAQ describes as "regulated under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) of 1988 as qualified to perform high complexity clinical testing".

What to watch for

The refund window is 24 hours and it narrows fast: "Orders may only be canceled and a refund issued within 24 hours of purchase", "a $29 shipping and handling fee will be deducted from your refund" once the kit has shipped, and "If your sample has already been submitted for testing, no refunds will be issued, even if cancellation is requested within 24 hours." The free consultation is for customers "who test positive", "to be evaluated for treatment of chlamydia, gonorrhea and trich" — it does not extend to the thyroid, heart, cholesterol or vitamin D kits.
